Episode 9: Unmask Your Inner Confidence with Shakila Stewart

March 1, 2019

Faith, Life, Podcast

There’s a temptation to hide behind God rather than partnering with Him to pursue your destiny (especially in church). The tendency is that you have to be perfect or have a specific type of image in order to be loved by God or accepted by people.

We try to wear masks like placing our identity in our looks, our performance at work, or the other roles we play to hide fear or pain. But the truth is none of us have it all together, and that’s why we need Jesus.

In this episode, we’ll get up close and personal with my guest and close friend, Shakila Stewart, about her journey of taking off the mask of who she thought she was in order to reveal the person God created her to be.

Who’s ever had their life turned upside down? Or maybe God has interrupted what you had in mind?

This episode is really encouraging if you struggle with surrendering to God’s will for your life or if you have difficulty with being the truest version of yourself. By the end, you’ll learn how to walk by faith in order to do the work God has called you to do.

Happy listening!
